Empowering your balanced, fulfilling life.
My approach to counseling is both holistic and integrative. Holistic counseling recognizes that mental health is influenced by many interconnected aspects of life, including relationships, physical well-being, identity, values, and life experiences. Integrative counseling means I thoughtfully draw from multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches to create a treatment plan that is responsive to each client’s unique needs, goals, and background.
Counseling vs. Coaching: Which Path Is Right for You?
Understanding the Difference
Many people know they want support, guidance, or positive change, but they’re not always sure whether counseling or coaching is the best fit.
At Be More Consulting LLC, I offer both counseling and coaching services because people often find themselves in different seasons of growth. While both counseling and coaching can help you move forward, they serve different purposes and are governed by different professional standards.
The good news? You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out. During your complimentary 15-minute consultation, we can discuss your goals and determine which service best aligns with your needs.
Counseling
Counseling May Be Right for You If…
You are seeking support for emotional, mental, relational, or life challenges that are impacting your well-being.
Counseling provides a safe and confidential space to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences while developing practical tools for growth and healing.
Common reasons people seek counseling include:
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Burnout and overwhelm
- Depression and low mood
- Life transitions
- Relationship challenges
- Self-esteem concerns
- Grief and loss
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Identity exploration
- Personal growth and self-discovery
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I provide counseling services through an integrative approach that considers the connection between mental, emotional, physical, relational, and personal well-being.

Coaching
Coaching May Be Right for You If…
You are emotionally stable, functioning well overall, and primarily looking for guidance, accountability, clarity, motivation, or support in achieving specific goals.
Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. Rather than processing mental health concerns, coaching focuses on helping you move from where you are today toward where you want to be.
Common coaching goals include:
- Improving work-life balance
- Creating healthier habits
- Increasing productivity
- Strengthening boundaries
- Clarifying priorities
- Personal growth and self-development
- Goal achievement
- Lifestyle design
- Intentional living
- Creating sustainable change
The Energy Dollar™ Life Coaching Program
My signature coaching program helps individuals become more intentional with their time, energy, attention, and priorities.
Using the Energy Dollar™ Framework, we explore how you are currently spending, investing, and gambling your energy and create a strategy for aligning your daily choices with your long-term goals and values.
Coaching Availability
Unlike counseling, coaching is not regulated by state counseling licensure laws.
Because coaching is not clinical mental health treatment, coaching services may be available to clients nationwide.

What If I’m Not Sure?
Many people aren’t sure whether counseling or coaching is the best fit—and that’s completely normal.
If you’re experiencing significant stress, emotional challenges, burnout, relationship concerns, or mental health symptoms, counseling is often the best starting point.
If you’re primarily focused on personal growth, achieving goals, creating healthier habits, or becoming more intentional with your time and energy, coaching may be a better fit.
Sometimes individuals begin with counseling and later transition into coaching as they move from healing toward growth and optimization.
